SDFman posts success message without actual success

Hey,
To anyone knowledgeable:
Not that I am attempting to mod the game or anything, but I am really curious why the sdfman.exe program will post a success message without actually succeeding? The supposedly-existent file is nowhere to be found, and sdfman is even being run out of the proper folder.
Its a long shot that someone would know why, but I just figured I would ask...
