So I need this to be set straight.

When you configure a Scout squad to Offensive settings, do their mines inflict more damage?

No they do the same amount of damage. Same goes for special weapons for all units.

And how about if you take the speed preset, and use Rocket (phoenix example) ?
Do they drive/fly faster after activating the "rocket" ?

Yeah, what about the Speed set PHX Scouts and Rocket (speed eq)?
Does the speed equipment add extra top speed to the scout's Balanced top speed or the Speed-set top speed?


Or what about Defensive Power Armor with Entrench ?

Does Entrench add a defensive bonus to the power armor's balanced armor or his defense-set armor?

Im pretty sure that boosters increase speed by a percentage, so squads set to speed will see a higher maximum speed after booster than those set to offensive for example. Id imagine it will be pretty easy to test with heavies if you want to confirm it.

I can confirm that it is based on a percentage. Also, entrench adds to a 'bullet resistance' value. Normal power armor has bullet resistance of 170, which is just under the cray heavy defensive at 180 (which can stop templar missiles and light bullets from the front, and inf rifles from all directions). Entrench makes this value so high that it literally would take a bullet with insane damage (like cray jannice on offensive) to kill them out of entrench.

Most anything else won't touch them. (AKA they are about as broken as carrying a defensive tank squad in your apc which cannot be targeted by anything homing [like hellfire missiles], have crazy small hitboxes, and pack the punch of a whole med squad)

They are slow and their weapons take slightly longer to charge and they look like slow mo when they are fired if I remember correctly, again in an attempt to balance the units. I think you can find all the data you need to "MOD" these units if you un-sdf the files and play around with the settings.

I'm not very into tampering into the GC engine itself/myself yet.

...but this doesn't mean that power armor is good the way it is right now.
