All maps, sorted

Postby stAtrill » 11 Nov 2015 19:46

Hey all,

Just more janitorial things here. Joxers all maps pack has been sorted into SP and MP maps.

Note that large amounts of MP maps slow down clicking between multiplayer menus (GC parses them every menu for some reason). Additionally, I have noticed that some maps being in the folder together can cause GC to hang with high CPU usage when creating a game (this doesn't happen when joining). A couple years ago I started trying to remove the one by one to try to find the offenders, but dropped it as it would have taken a long time.

All SP maps: http://www.mediafire.com/download/k6uf1 ... player.sdf (32.42 MB)
All MP maps: http://www.mediafire.com/download/mgbfk ... player.sdf (80.91 MB)

I'm a bit confused... you packed all sp maps and all mp maps together in two sdf? I mean. Not the ones included in the mod but all? Why? Don't get me wrong. Thanks but how would I now add just one map that we intend to play without loading all the rest? o.O?

Haha the focus was more on being able to easily add all custom SP maps, which GC has no issues with (does not affect MP load times, does not hang the game, etc).

The maps are already packed separately in the allGCmaps.zip file, so I didn't perceive a need to do so. :P
